Recently Team 3youni visited Siwa Oasis on a work/dance/vacation retreat. While there, we happened upon a shop with amazing purses, and as we looked through the ones we liked, over and over we saw they are all made by one designer! Of course we had to meet her, and we are so happy to introduce Mona Nagy as our handbag collaboration partner.
 
Mona is an incredible designer with an impressive eye for color and composition along with functionality, and it is an honor to collaborate with her for one of a kind handbags featuring hand embroidery, our exclusive prints, and lots of pockets with coins.
 
We interviewed Mona to get further insight on her gorgeous designs, and she was happy to answer all our questions. Mona hails from Shobra, a legendary part of Cairo known for its authenticity and soul. She has 15 years of embroidery experience, with 12 of those years at a professional level. She learned her art from her mother, and her inspiration comes from her Egyptian heritage and a desire to preserve the art of hand embroidery while combining it with modern life. Her favorite places to visit are Old Cairo and Siwa, and the influences of both places are present in her attention to detail and creative touch. Mona creates each handbag from beginning to end, starting with cutting and finishing with her logo. Each bead, coin, and embroidered applique is placed by hand, and as a result, no two pieces are the same.
